What is atrophic vaginitis?

Atrophic vaginitis is a condition characterized by thinning of the vaginal walls and decreased lubrication, leading to increased vaginal dryness and inflammation.

It's essentially caused by a decrease in estrogen, the primary female sex hormone, and is a very common problem in menopausal women (50% of menopausal women suffer from vaginal atrophy), affecting both their sexual function and quality of life. Symptoms can persist for years unless appropriate measures are taken.

The reasons are different and can originate in small sequelae of infections, in atypical morphology, congenital malformations or, simply, in the apprehension of penetration.

Vaginal atrophy is a more common problem than you might think, affecting women of all ages, although it's more common in women after childbirth or during breastfeeding. However, the highest number of cases are found in postmenopausal women, affecting one in two.

Vaginismus is a vaginal constriction of the pelvic floor that causes discomfort, burning, pain, problems with penetration, or complete inability to have sexual intercourse.

Vaginismus is a common cause of ongoing sexual pain. It can affect women at all stages of life, even those who have had sex comfortably for years.

When a man tries to have sex with a woman, the pelvic floor muscles go into spasm and tighten, closing the vaginal entrance, making intercourse impossible and painful. This type of vaginismus makes penetration impossible.

In other cases of vaginismus, penetration may be possible, but the woman experiences periods of involuntary contractions that cause burning, discomfort, or pain.

How do you use the INTIMATE DILATOR?

It involves first applying a little water-based lubricant to the entrance of the vagina (about the size of a chestnut) and massaging gently for 2 or 3 minutes.

Then, take the smallest INTIMATE DILATOR element. Apply lubricant in the same proportions to the tip.

Then, begin to push it into the vagina smoothly and gradually. If you notice any dryness, add some lubricant.

You can continue exercising for 10-15 minutes, using small rocking movements. It's important to keep in mind that vaginal muscle contraction is unfavorable, so if it occurs, the exercise should be stopped.

The goal is to relax the vaginal area as well as seek the pleasure that accompanies it, which is why it is recommended to use a very comfortable place to perform the exercises and to listen to soft music.
